Ok I refraze - maybe possible but NOT designed to.

Talk to both Advance and Sylvania about this, I have and the above is the answer I got. if it was possible we would be using this method as it saves cost and lowers heat, it does not make economic sense to not do something if feasible.

There are reasons why manufacturers advise otherise and when building a quality product it is ill advised to go against what they state.

I am looking at advances electrical engineering 2009 right now and they are miss quoting you.

Just trying to say you might want to check into other manufacturers for cheaper, but just as good tolerances if not better.

Advance is far from the best manufacturer.

Not quite sure why the head of technical in would miss quote but makes no odds really, the fauna lamp will run with 2 tubes on one ballast as this also ties in with the other electonics that are incorporated.

We have checked with other manufacturers also, the ballast to be used is NOT Advance

ALL lamps will come with LED moon lights installed, when the lamps go off the moon lights come on.

Dimming - To begin with 24w 39w and 54w will be made available in dimming, the dimming will be controlled by GHL ProfiLux, the ProfiLux simply plugs into the control module of the lamp fixture. 80w dimming will follow on possibly in February

The fixtures will be slightly wider than originally planned to incorporate the latest additions

Later next year there will be further advances in the dimming options

Availability - orders can be taken from late December for first wave shipping in late january, from then on there will be steady supply.

Thats it for now but i am sure you will agree this fixture is turning out to be hard to beat
