Can you clarify something for me?

Will the non-dimmable fixtures have only one cord also? If that's the case does that mean that if the fixture is not controlled with a GHL controller that all the lamps will turn on and and off at the same time?

Also, will non-dimmable 24" 6 and 8 lamp fixtures be released in the first wave of released fixtures? (I just checked the sister thread on RC and see that a 6 lamp 24" fixture is the retail standard so you can ignore this question )

What is the standard fixture color?

Hiya

Ok to clarify - there will be one power line harness, which will have all the seperate cables inside, this saves the birds nest seen with many other lamps, espcially ones mixing 12V cooling fans etc!

Yes 6 tube standard on 24w. was to be 4 tube but actually due to your personal input I increased this, so we are listening

Sweet! Thanks for making the change to 6 lamps being standard on the 24" fixture!

Here are the standards

24w = 6 tube
39w = 8 tube
54w = 10 tube
80w = 10 tube

Same goes for dimmable.

I have one sample leaving Germany by sea freight in about two weeks, I will be shipping this to Progressive reef when I get it No idea what configuration it will be yet.

Just out of curiousity... how long would it generally take to get it in your hands by sea freight?

Depending on customs around 4-6 weeks.

For normal supply this will be taken into account so supply is not an issue

So if the sample is going to take 4-6 weeks to get in your hands and it's going to be sent out in 2 weeks, when is the normal supply going to be sent out? If it takes 4-6 weeks for you to receive them it doesn't sound like anything will be ready for sale in retailers hands by January unless the normal supply is sent at the same time as the sample.

Just trying to get a handle on when fixtures will actually be available. I know this has been a problem in the past with several companies (including Fauna Marin) a) taking longer than anticipated to actually release the product and b) transit times leading to 2 and 3 month waits while items have to make across to North America and then clear customs. Add to that the currently impending Canada Post strike and who knows how long it will be before the fixtures arrive (obviously this is outside your and Fauna Marin's control).
