			 Maybe five if the tank is pretty open and you are sure of the male to female ratio. I have bred other cichlids in the same Tropheini group but they weren't any where near as big so I am not sure. 			 Thanks for the info I would almost know for sure about the sex ratio becuase I would likely buy an already breeding group of frontosa`s becuase I want them to breed sooner although I would like to see them grow up and breed that way I can see them from babys to grown ups and then have babys of there own!!

	I'd go as far as keeping about 7-8 2-3 males rest females. The extra will draw the attention of the dominant male, hence leaving the females alone.  |
