![]() Hi,
I am just on my third day of cycling my tank, all things seem to be going good so far. I just added one of my old heaters to the tank, I thought it was working properly. I tested it earlier and it was fine but by the time I got home I guess something was wrong with it cause I couldnt control the heat properly. The temperature in my tank for the first two days was about 79 - 81 F. when I got home I saw that the temperature was 84.5 F. I am just wondering if high temperatures for about 10 - 11 hours would possibly destroy the live rock? I have also noticed that I cannot get a steady temperature going, it seems to fluctuate. Does any one have a quick soltion to keep it steady? Please let me know, thanks.[/list] |

![]() Since you just started the cycle spend the 20 dollars and get a new heater. Your lucky that the heater didnt go like that when you had a full tank. save your self the hassle get a new one , heck have 2 in there just incase.. you wont be sorry in the long run

Otherwise we would all be using dry base rock to start our tanks. |
