I have a brand new luminarc reflector in the box, 400 watt vertex electronic ballasat and the socket for the bulb. Everything is brand new never used. I can sell it all for a great price and I will ship. PM if your interested.

I guess I should be sending a PM.

And I'd imagine with the height I would be hanging the metal halide, since its just a 4 to 6 hour peak light supplement, the heat gain wouldn't be as bad as if I was running 2 to 4 bulbs much closer to the surface.

My goal is to try and keep the the electric bill increase for the new tank to be under 100 a month... after a fried heater in a rock holding tank raised my bill by 150 a month my other half got a bit POd over my hobby.

I have been running two a360w for about eight month now on my sps tank. There would be no reason to supplement your Kessil with m/h. My sps grow faster than they ever have when I was running Halide. My tank dimensions are 57x24x25. All my sps 1'' frags less than a year old.

Very nice tank. And its not so much that I don't think the kessils will be up to do the job, its more curiosity on my part. I have never had a metal halide tank, and the combination is a way for me to see if there really is that big of difference. I'm really hoping to get the fast growth of led, combined with the intense coloration of the radium bulbs.

My original plan was going to use 4 A360We tuna blues and then use a A360w Tuna sun as my "high noon" in order to help my mangroves and clams. But the Tuna Sun unit has been back ordered for awhile, and a used or second hand metal halide setup is similar price.

Also the hybrid led halide T5 units are starting to show up, this is the cheapest way for me to dabble.
