Possibly a stupid question (need electrical guru)
Is it possible to use a dual 54w t5ho ballast to power 4x 24"t5ho bulbs?
like... run 2 24" bulbs in a series in place of 1 of the 48" bulbs |

I'll watch this thread as I'm curious
I'd think if you ran the common/yellow to both bulbs and ran the red/blue wires in series you could pull it off .... but I don't know how it needs to be done properly Some ballasts are dual wireable so maybe Last edited by gregzz4; 08-01-2014 at 04:59 AM. |

Splitting the power may work in this way, but you'd obviously need the 'yellow' wires in your setup, or you're out of luck

BTW, I think the drawing I posted is incorrect. Go figure from a government site huh ...
It shows 2 yellow wires going to one lamp, with the other lamp having no yellows at all Is your ballast not labelled ? If it is it may show you some helpful info |
