Possibly a stupid question (need electrical guru)

Is it possible to use a dual 54w t5ho ballast to power 4x 24"t5ho bulbs?

like... run 2 24" bulbs in a series in place of 1 of the 48" bulbs

I'll watch this thread as I'm curious

I'd think if you ran the common/yellow to both bulbs and ran the red/blue wires in series you could pull it off .... but I don't know how it needs to be done properly

Some ballasts are dual wireable so maybe :noidea:

Splitting the power may work in this way, but you'd obviously need the 'yellow' wires in your setup, or you're out of luck

BTW, I think the drawing I posted is incorrect. Go figure from a government site huh ...

It shows 2 yellow wires going to one lamp, with the other lamp having no yellows at all

Is your ballast not labelled ?
If it is it may show you some helpful info
