A few years back we had a lot of smoke coming from forest fires in Siberia. Amazing how far smoke can travel.

This year is unusual because of the dry spring and hot summer and the severity of the fires one fire went from 6 hectares in size to just over 700 hectares in size in 7 hours add to the fact there is tons of debris on the ground to burn as well as all the bettle kill and you have a virtual perfect storm. I am expecting it to get much worse before it gets better.

doesn't explain down here though, had a wetter than normal June, cooler temps, didn't get nice till July and then it only took 1 week of our 40 above to dry out enough around here though.

but it is good to see that the winds and light showers today have our smoke all gone.
