Hard to tell what that is in that picture.
If it's just 1 and you're not sure what it is, break out the superglue and smother the thing, then cover the area and the super glue in epoxy.

mine look exactly like that but they are green? Iv smothered everyone i can find in glue and so far so good.

ok here are the pictures.

they seem to close up when shaded, they kind of react like a clam

Soft tubed feather dusters , same as the ones in my sump to a T .

I don't think you can simply get rid of them? I'm fortunate since my blue clove infestation hides them
