Try to go for something rated for about 2x or so more volume than your tank. U will need it if u wanna have a full blown healthy reef in the future. Don't listen to stores. See if u can find a high end used skimmer on here km sure u will get a killer deal.

Agree! I see tons of really good protien skimmers sell on here for cheap

The Vertex Omega 150 won't even be close to big enough and the Cad Lights 1350 is a bit small too. The Aqua Maxx I'm not familiar with, but it appears on print to be able to handle the job. The Bubble Magus I think would be a good choice - I know several people running them who quite like them, and from what I've seen they are performing well. They seem to be reliable too.

I think i am leaning towards the curve 9 . Everything i read is that it is a good bang for the buck . As for used i live in a small town and miss all the good deals.

Go for the curve. Myself and alot of local people really like the BM skimmers
