![]() What you need is a line level preamplifier like the kind for turntables. With it you could increase the gain to the distant amplifier.

![]() It's the RCA audio signal from the downstairs cable box that is lacking If I record from the upstairs box all is normal The signal from downstairs is split to the TV there and to the DVD-r upstairs I'm hoping this does the trick and if not, I'll live with turning up the amp when watching recordings from downstairs |
