Reason I hate hermits!

I love my blue and red legged hermits they add a lot of entertainment value to my tank only real bad thing I have with them is that they love to climb to top of my tank and sit on the rim

I have a long tentacles plate coral and if I had any hermit or shrimp that would pick at it, it would die very fast. They are fragile and any thear in their flesh can bring on a brown jelly infection and the death of the coral. For that reason I banned any crab from my aquarium except one emerald which never leave the liverock area and never try to pick at coral for food.

And today, the hermit thought of taking a ride on the snail (but he wasn't attacking!) I guess he loves suspending himself above sandbed!

mine have learned to climb up the limb of an acro and onto my frag rack and just perch up there. knocks something off once in a while.
but yeah kick it off and it's right back up there.
funny things.
