I have had the same problem! I got him off and tossed him to the other side of the tank, did that for 2 days. If I catch him again it goes into the Fuge!

Give it time. Pretty soon your rock will be over run my gsp grew under my sand and all over the bottom glass in a period of a few months. tossed the rock in the dark of the sump 6 months ago and they are still alive with very little light.

I find it kinda cool. I'll pull a hermit out of a coral, move it 6 feet away, and a couple hours later, it's right back in the same spot. Repeat.

hermits are evil; I bought a bunch of pom pom crabs (sans pom poms) for cheapish that will hopefully fill their role ...

I love my blue and red legged hermits they add a lot of entertainment value to my tank only real bad thing I have with them is that they love to climb to top of my tank and sit on the rim

I have a long tentacles plate coral and if I had any hermit or shrimp that would pick at it, it would die very fast. They are fragile and any thear in their flesh can bring on a brown jelly infection and the death of the coral. For that reason I banned any crab from my aquarium except one emerald which never leave the liverock area and never try to pick at coral for food.
