All the glass lids in box comes like that so that people can easily cut to fit what's in the back. Prices are increasing while the quality is decreasing; that's how they are balancing supply and demand :P

He's talking about the hinges in the middle, not the back part....

Sorry to see that Steve. Bunch of junk for sure. I never ever venture up to that place. Hate it in a bad way.

Ouch oh, didn't understand that

The one I have has full hinge. I guess pisces made it out themselves, selling it as an "exclusive" with the price tag of gold.

In all fairness, the hinge being partial pieces like that is the only way that it would bend. I had a lid from there on my 33gallon, that wouldn't bend. every time you tried to lift the lid, the middle section would lift with it.

I bent it back and forth probably a hundred times and it still wouldn't soften up to the point where it would work well.

As for cutting it crooked that's a different matter.

Some would say be glad that its not a shower door. ie textured/frosted.

I have identical sized glass lids on my other 55, they have full hinge and open just fine. This has nothing to do with functionality, it's purely about saving pennies on what's probably one of the few things the guy actually has to pay for.

+1. Cheap quality but bit a big price tag.

I never had luck with their fishes too! I guess they just don't quarantine their fishes or something. Even a friend of mine bought a firefish from them which never ate and eventually starved to death!

And they sell SPS frags for something around $75!!!! With that amount of money, you can get atleast two awesome rare SPS from Snappy.

Should note my complaints are directed more towards Bow Valley in this case, Pisces only at fault for being in business with them but at the end of the day it was all pre-packaged and sealed from BV with a Pisces price tag stuck on it.

I think both of them are equally responsible since Pisces are not monitoring the quality and still selling those things. On technical terms, pisces should be hold more responsible since they are dealing with the customers and are not maintaining the quality of the product. Isn't that right?
