If your not careful you'll get hooked on SPS. They are slowly creeping into the reef - and looking good by the way!

Default update

so me and the roomate went and had a chat with dave at concept yesterday as hes building a tank for him , after some talking looks like im getting an upgrade to the bonsai tree.

the new tank will be 30 x 30 x 20h , eurobraced and center overflow(internal) steel stand

ill put the new tank right in the same spot the current one is, the joys of having a rock structure that is built on a pvc frame is i just life it right out and in to the new tank lol

stay tuned!!

Considering your build is based on a tree type rock structure wouldn't you be better off with something a little taller?

haha it is taller....2 inchs taller lol

i hate tall tanks i did think it would be nice to have a bit more play on top of the tree but i hate 24" tanks and my tree is 18" on the nose.....my arms are a tight 22" lol

i love the height of my cube now but just hate the width and length, i figure the extra 2" is a bonus as ill actually not use any of the extra height.

i also now need to come up with a bunch more tempered glass:P

although this tank is bigger than my other cube the only real issue i have with my other cube is no clearance around the tree for my fat arms lol

plus more height meant more money lol

You must have short arms I was going to suggest 24", figured you're where probably using 10mm glass anyway which is still plenty for 30x24 but now maybe I'm thinking you're going with 6mm? The only reason I suggested the extra height was related to the sudden addition of SPS corals making their way into the tree
