Each slide lasts for 30 days, so 12 slides will suffice for 1 year.

I would say the PAR meter is accurate but you can not do direct comparisons to a different brand due to lower value Seneye give to
red end of spectrum. The unit also indicates type of coral suitable for your light level. I have used the meter to measure various light sources LED/PC/sunlight and have not seen anything unusual but then again I do not have another type of PAR meter to compare to. My understanding is you can not let them dry out. Glad to hear their shipping cost has gone down. When I ordered the only option was their global priority shipping option plus $8 Canada Post handling fee. |

Got a Seneye and set it up a couple days ago. Very happy so far. I was very surprised how satisfying it is to be out of the house and pull up my seneye.me account and confirm that the ph and temp are still the same as they were an hour ago.
i even received my first text message from them because i decided not to soak the slide for 48 hours as per the recommendation and my ph readings were off for the first day. also, having the computer in my sump room makes me look all kinds of high tech.

It works great, except near the tail end of the 30 days the PH gets over-saturated and readings are high. I have a PH Probe right next to the Seneye to keep things in check. I emailed Seneye and they mentioned to keep checking for updates in software as the version I had was older and needed an update to resolve the issue. It sort of fixed the issue with a manual adjustment of 0.3 PH, however they mentioned that this issue will be totally resolved without any adjustment of the software.
Other than that, it's a GREAT product! I'd only wish there was some sort of USB Wifi transmitter available so it could connect to my wifi without the use of a computer. They suggested the Belkin Home Base, however it is discontinued and not available. I have tried a few other devices such as a Wireless USB Hub, but that didn't work either. For now, it is connected to a spare netbook that I have kicking around.
