Default Warning to those in Calgary visiting LFS in SE

Just wanted to share a friendly warning regarding parking outside of Golds. This is nothing relating to actual store, just the parking lot.

Avoid parking in the first few perpendicular row of spaces. Not the ones right against the store but the ones that leave your car facing east/west. It seems certain store visitors in the area are not only poor drivers but have no ethical values what so ever.

This happened to me when I recently in the store for a very brief time. No sign of the other driver, note or witness. This is also not the first time this has happened in the area so be warned.

$3500 worth of damage, thankfully my insurance is amazing.

I have so many friends that question why I park way off in the boonies when I go to stores... Its to avoid the A-holes that do that to people and don't even stick around!

That sucks man, hopefully its all bumper/light damage, and not your quarter panel.

The quarter panel is damaged as well. So new taillight, new bumper, quarter panel repair and bunch of paint and blending = $3500. It's actually significantly cheaper than I expected.

Insurance is Meloche Monnex through TD insurance. We have a nice package that provided you supply police report stating hit and run you get your deductible waived and your premiums don't take a hit (most companies won't do this and unless you provide them with another insurance company to bill it'll count like a regular claim). It also includes a rental car best of all they had my claim finalized and approved at a nice reputable shop within hours. They also charge us less than any other company we inquired with due to discounts for APEGA members

I'm also with Meloche Monnex.

I assume that you have multiple policies with them. If so, are they going to take away your multipolicy 10% discount for three years or is this also waved for a hit and run?

Home and auto, no discounts will be affected.

Wow, and that is where I always park. I will have to change that. Thanks for the advice. I guess that is what happens when you visit the ghetto. They probably didn't even have insurance.
