![]() The way I maintain my cal, alk, and mag levels as well as amino acid and carbon dosing is to add it all to my top off water. I mix each one in a 1g jug until it dissolved then I add the cal and mag, 2g of water, then the alk, aminos and vodka. I have never had any solution persipiation or other issues. By doing it this way I save on doser pumps. All I did was figure out how much my tank evaps in a week as well as how much cal, alk and mag it uses in a week. It takes care of its self

![]() Nobody has mentioned kalkwasswer. It is a balanced alkalinity and calcium supplement. As long as your ca and alk demand are'nt super high (ie loaded SPS tank) you can get away with just using kalk (calcium hydroxide).

![]() Agreed, although my last tank was a fully loaded SPS tank and kalk did the job just fine.
