it was in the new and noteworthy page. and they usually remove pic and quick info when it's sold or else.

I hope you didn't spend too much money on that.

Well, the damn thing cost me $40 and about an hour of playing hide and seek. I finally caved and moved my corals and live rock around so that I could finally catch the beast. Its going to be spending the night in a large ice cream tub until tomorrow when I go have a little chat with the lfs.

My issue is that he flat out lied to me when I asked if it was reef safe and whether it would play nice with my other tank mates. If they had that info on their site and then removed it, my guess is it was due to ppl not wanting to buy it with that disclaimer.

Now I'm out $40, a murdered strawberry snail, a messed up rock layout, a cloudy tank, and a crab which I feel bad about putting in isolation.

All I know is, they better give me my full refund tomorrow and not that 1/2 price credit crap.

Don't pull apart your liverock. Instead, set a trap for the crab.

Get a glass from your kitchen, that will be tall enough that he can't crawl out. Put it in the tank, where your crab can get into it from the liverock, but hopefully your hermits will not be able to. Finally, put in a bit of shrimp from your freezer, into the bottom of the glass.

This has worked for me a few times, including with a large (for my tank) black hitch-hiker.

Unfortunately its about 20x bigger than my Hermits, lol. Plus, the fact that I already pulled everything apart and didn't get to bed til 3am, fuels my rage.

the employee may not be aware of the web site. In this hobby, I always find it's better to do your own research. Even at that, a reef safe fish/invert may one day turn and acquire the taste for all your nice corals. For some reason they tend to leave all less colorful alone.

I never get sick of saying it. The only reef safe crab is the porcelain crab.

Haha, I actually got rid of my pair of porcelain crabs cause they were harrassing my new rbta frag too much. Too bad cause they were so nice to look at...

Oh, and they gave me full credit back for the 711, which in turn I spent right away on a sea hare to help with my algae issue and some krill for the softies.

They were probably trying to host the nem.

It definitely was but cause the rbta was so new to the tank and so small, it stayed shriveled up for most of the day. My other one hosted in a furry mushroom which didn't mind.
