You can't assume with a fish like that. It is clearly a fish with special requirements. If the LFS "assumed" then they dropped the ball. It is there responsibility each and every time to qualify a fish into the proper environment. The LFS I frequent always ask the questions about tank suitability.... and bells should have rung on their behalf if someone never asked them about such a challenging fish. If they are seriously not willing to help you out with this.... then they are not "being really good to you". Sorry. But your LFS dropped the ball and now you risk losing everything if that fish cannot be taken out of your tank.
