Wanna hook a brotha up with something cool? Let me know when you've got some pics!

Also, any suggestions where to track down A. desalwii?

Hi,

It is possible to find one of those from time to time at a LFS (at least here in Calgary). I have seen it a few times actually. They may appear brown as mentioned in a previous post, however like all SPS you may get a suprise if it likes your water conditions. I purchased mine as a browned out colony, and it looks pretty close to that picture now, except it is more pinkish purple at the tips. Too bad you are so far away. Maybe if you are patient or lucky, you will see one at your LFS one day.

I've been sitting here for about an hour staring at your picture, to some refernce pics, to your pic, to some... well, you get the idea. It sure as heck looks a lot like it but, you know, I.D.ing is always easier with the real thing in front of of you and not something from memory.

Atomikk, you had one longer than I have; what do you say on this one?

Great coral, but not A. desalwii. The coenosteum (coral base) is too smooth and has the corallites spaced apart a lot more than the coral pictured above.
