![]() Depends on your flow requirements I guess. Iwaki is a high quality pump and I think the model you have is built to handle high head pressure, over 30 ft max head pressure. If you're planning a basement sump, this is good. If your sump is in the stand under your tank, it's very much overkill, unless it's like a 300 gallon or something.

![]() My tank is a 250 gal and the pump needs to pump only 8 ft up. I figured out that this pump costs me 39 bucks a month to run which is terrible. So I think I should probably find another pump. 1500 gallons per hour would only turn the 6 times I would think it should be more?

![]() Had a 70RLT for a couple of years and found even for my basement sump was a bit much so ended up replacing it. Full open could push 2000gph through my sump. Did seem bullet proof and mag coupled design better than worrying about seals.
