Iwaki Pumps

Hey I want to find some specs on a pump i bought second hand. Id like to know how many gph and how much energy it uses. All I have is the model number and I can find anything about it on the internet. Its an iwaki and model number m1150263 with 1 inch in and out. Thanks for any help

Are you sure that is the model #. More likely a serial #

My bad, after I wiped the salt off of it I realized that the model number was md-70rlt-115p which came up with lots of results. lol

348 watts for 1500 gph seems like an awful lot of power, should I swap this pump out for something more energy efficent?

Depends on your flow requirements I guess. Iwaki is a high quality pump and I think the model you have is built to handle high head pressure, over 30 ft max head pressure. If you're planning a basement sump, this is good. If your sump is in the stand under your tank, it's very much overkill, unless it's like a 300 gallon or something.

My tank is a 250 gal and the pump needs to pump only 8 ft up. I figured out that this pump costs me 39 bucks a month to run which is terrible. So I think I should probably find another pump. 1500 gallons per hour would only turn the 6 times I would think it should be more?

Had a 70RLT for a couple of years and found even for my basement sump was a bit much so ended up replacing it. Full open could push 2000gph through my sump. Did seem bullet proof and mag coupled design better than worrying about seals.
