I'm getting a tank built as we speak.. and should be done next week. Dimensions are 36 x 22 x 16 with internal overflow. Should be sweet!

Alright, I got tired of work today after I lit my samples on fire (don't ask...) so I decided to do a quick render of a 24"x18"x16" tank with stand and my aqualight hanging above it just to get an idea. Take a look, make suggestions. And yes, I know there are no cables holding up the magic floating light... couldn't be arsed to draw them.
I'll do one for a 24"x24"x12" when I get some free time soon. Last edited by ScubaSteve; 07-09-2010 at 10:06 PM. |

I still think a perfect cube would look cool.

So my plans got canceled for tonight and I had time to do a couple more renders. I did a 24"x24"x12", a 24"x24"x14" and a 24"x24"x24" cube. I've posted the first two, I'll post the cube later when the render finishes.
Personally I think I like the shallow style better than a full cube. I want to be able to look down into the tank and have something that I can reach into easily. Last edited by ScubaSteve; 07-09-2010 at 10:06 PM. |

Where did you find your tank or did you have it made?
