Yeah, I like to take 2 or 3 shots of each scene to make sure at least one of them was focussed properly.

I haven't been researching cameras lately but when I was, the Nikon and the Canon were the forerunners. To me, it came down to the Nikon something (can't remember) and the Canon G2 and Powershot S40. I ended up with the S40 but now wished I got the G2 for its superior macro capability when used with the add-on macro lens.
