You can always order a new pump from EuroReef

Hardware: Super Reef Octopus SSS-3000, Tunze ATO, Mag 18 return, 2x MP40W, 2X Koralia 4's Wavemaker
Lighting: 5ft Hamilton Belize Sun (2x250W MH, 2X80W T5HO)
Type of Aquarium: mixed reef (SPS & LPS) with fish
Dosing: Mg, Ca, Alk

Could just be the impeller, seen a few pumps with similar issues solved with a new impeller assembly.

I took your advice last night and tried to play with the impeller after it quit while in a pale of water and OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!

ZAP - Thank God I have no hair because it would have been standing on end...

The pump is shorted and that is that

New one will be on of the following 3:

Sedra 20000
Mag-Drive 1800
Euro Reef GX 6000 (like the original one that zapped me)


any recommendations from the top 3?
I don't want to add heat to the system...
