Cant't help you there.. I found sketch-up hard to use.. lol.. So I used Revit Architecture to build my stand design...

I would just go through the help files to see if you can find your answer.

I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Not extremely easy, but not as hard as Autocad LOL

i actually found autocad easier than sketchup it took me over 3 hrs to design a tank poorly whereas i could have done an exact design through autocad in 30 minutes but i grew up using autocad versus playing with sketchup a few times.

Ya I'm self taught on AutoCad, so theres ALOT I dont know LOL. I mainly use it in 2D mode for my milling machine drawings

autocad is absolutely amazing. if you have it i would concentrate your learning efforts on that vs sketchup

Well, this is what I came up with in Sketchup in about 3 hrs.
Woulda taken 3 days in Acad. But YES, I would rather learn Acad properly. I can't 3D model worht a crap!!!
