the main tank is 78.5 and the seahorse tank is 76.5

Mine will probably hit 84 by tonight and then drops back to 78 by morning

Mine maxed out at 82 F but no problems with the livestock.

When it gets around this temp, I turn off the MH & switch to a reverse photoperiod.

Should never be a problem at 82 degrees as that is the average temperature for tropical reefs around the world. If I remember right the range for shallow tropical reefs is 74-86.

My older brother just got back from Mexico where they were counting/monitoring corals for 2 years and also phosphates and temperature. He said there were up to 6 degree changes in one spot within minutes as warm currents passed by.
