I like the look of the tank in lorenz0's post, #34
These are ATIs, and since they are not available locally, is there other combinations of bulbs that would give that purple glow? I have mainly softies now and a couple LPS.

red coral also carries the kz's such as fiji purple. i use 2 glow units on my 25g. i use one giessman actinic plus, 1 fiji purple and 2 12k k daytimes. the two bulbs at the back are on first and off first. i feel the moving shadows give a better feeling of a moving sun. i use the blue and 1 daytime for the first light and fiji purple and daytime for last light.
