IME, you can just peel them off....
Never tried to reattach but I have removed tonnes of watermelon shrooms from LR in my tank and I alwasy just sort of peel them off... as soon as you get a corner or edge off, the rest come easy....

To reattach, use the "Bridal Veil" method. Works very good and easy.
