![]() The clam is changing colours thats what it is. Unless it has an odd texture to it, however the photo doesn't show that.

![]() You could try placing it in more light or feeding it more often. I've seen clams loose a little color before from being malnourished. However more likely the clam is just getting it's mature colors as already stated.

![]() I think that is normal coloration for that kind of clam. They routinely get gold patches mixed in with the overall blue.
