![]() I've got a Mag3 (external) on my Ca reactor. Brand new right from the box it weeped slightly from the housing. A very thin smear of silicone on the o-ring cured it.
As for temperature, mine runs 24/7 and I just put my hand on it. Could say warm, it definitely wasn't hot. Do you have some concerns with your system for temperature? For having external vs internal, way easier and neater plumbing wise just to place in the sump (if heats not a issue).
