They achived that goal but, at what cost? The car is stupendously fast, handles well (but not as well as a Lotus!) and is reasonably cheap for the performance (approx. $80k) - but it's heavy (near 4000lbs), soul-less (drives like a Playstation game - many reasons for this) and at the end of the day, looks damned ugly! Put it on a tighter track (that is more typical of the kind of tracks you & me would drive around) and the GTR would start to become ponderous, heavy & underbraked compared to 'trackday' cars such as Elise & Exige. The slower lap time around the 'Ring is due to the Lotus hitting it's rev limiter on the straights (small, low horse power engine). Quote:
