$300 as well just for the electricity portion, another $200 for the gas, water, sewer.
But we have alot of usage other than the tank.

When I ran my 230g my bill was in and around the $40 a month mark. It then jumped to 210 a month when I got new roommates who felt the house should reside at a toasty 30 degrees all day long.

FYI I didn't vote because the cost of my tank per month was less then the available options.

My bill for the last two months was 230....according to the energy calc my system uses just over 100 per month. I dont mind the 100...its the 30 thats being wasted that bugs me.

Cathrine,

How does your heat relate to your electric? Wasn't your heat natural gas?
Just curious....

For comparison purposes, we want everyone to participate if your tank's total water volume is more than 180 gallons.

For me, my Enmax bills are always on the rise... on electricity alone, i use about 1400KWh steadily rising. the cost of my bills (electricity, water and natural gas combined) was about 250-350 depends on weather and also if i am running a QT.

my system electricals includes:

3X250W halides
barracuda main pump
Velocity T4 closeloop
Tunze Wavebox
150W halide sump refugium
2X 250W Ebo heater
2X Maxijet powerheads for flow and phosban
2X sedra9000 pumps for skimmer
1" Seaswirl
Moonlights and fans

Heaters 350W and a small PH for changing water

Also, i run a HRV for the house during the winter. We lived in a Townhouse... so i was thinking having a utility bill of $300~ is quite alot....

My "tenants" ran space heaters all over the house when we weren't home. They had 4 space heaters which they plugged in and ran when nobody was home, throughout the night, and cranked up on high when they where home. Once they were gone we saw our bill drop dramatically back to their pre-move in levels.
