I split my hydro & natural gas with the family upstairs & the combined hydro for Nov & Dec was $187 & my share worked out to $75 for two months or $37.50/month:biggrin:
That has remained relatively stable over the last 2.5 years, even though I've since upgraded to 4 x 250w MH, and 4 x 90w (Sedra9000 pumps). My 210g reef uses 19.5 kw/day so $1.20/day in electricity or $36/month. According to that calculation, my computer, tv, house lights, stove, fridge & other tanks cost me only $1.50/month in extra electricity. Wow, that's awesome.  Anthony |
Will you accept votes from people who's combined systems are >180g? Or are you specifically looking for costs associated with "one tank"?

$300 as well just for the electricity portion, another $200 for the gas, water, sewer.
But we have alot of usage other than the tank. |
When I ran my 230g my bill was in and around the $40 a month mark. It then jumped to 210 a month when I got new roommates who felt the house should reside at a toasty 30 degrees all day long.
FYI I didn't vote because the cost of my tank per month was less then the available options. |
I pay $450/month!!! I also have a family with little kids and everyone leaves every light on in the house all day long while I am at work (drives me crazy).

My bill for the last two months was 230....according to the energy calc my system uses just over 100 per month. I dont mind the 100...its the 30 thats being wasted that bugs me.
