we should have posted things up sooner, I didn't think we'd have people offer to help so easily. The electrical is all done already, we are actually ready to load it onto the stand. I will post more pics soon of the build.

mseepman, from what we've seen everything looks awesome, we haven't taken it out of the crating totally yet as it has to go down a flight of stairs and into our basement. We would like to keep it crated for the move of possible. I'll let you know when we uncrate it. They did paint the back and left side panel black and they also painted the inside of the overflows black with a special paint that is safe for fish. The front and right side panel are starphire glass.
We were very impressed with AO, they were prompt in getting back to us with any questions we had and even gave us some suggestions. We paid almost $2700 for the tank and that included shipping from Ontario, we checked around and prices were similar ordering it from Sea Star but we liked the craftmanship better from AO.

Here are a few basement shots of construction taking place.

This is where we started.

This is the spot where the fish tank will sit in. It will have a two sides that are viewable and both are starphire glass aswell.

Not the best pic, but this is where the stand that the tank will sit on.

Another shot of the view from the rec room to the tank

Nice!! You might want to consider a flip up panel in the front for tank maintenance and aquascaping/coral placement though.

Unfortunately that is all drywalled and painted now, and we were going for a really clean look on the outside. I know it will sometimes be a pain in the butt to place corals, but thats also why we didn't go any deeper than 24".

Looks sweet so far! How long 'till the tank gets on the stand?
