![]() On my 135 mixed reef (72x24x20) I have one Tunze 6000 on a single controller (1850 gph) plus an Eheim 1260 return split three ways (one looped back into the sump (~400 gph back into the tank).
That's not all that much but I have less live rock than most others have in tanks of this size and the rock is arranged to allow for Gyre-type flow - think of a racetrack with the water circling around the track and the rocks in the middle infield. So I've been able to get away with less gph and powerheads. |

![]() on my current 40 I've got a korilla 3 and a korilla 1. The skimmer adds some flow, but not a lot, maybe 225gph, at least that's what the pump is rated for.
On my new 70 that I've ordered, I am planning on running 500gph on the return line from the sump and moving the korilla 3 and korilla 1 over to the new tank. I'll probably dump the 1 and replace it with another 3 or maybe step up to a 4. It's a lot of softies and LPS with a single SPS. |

![]() oops, I forgot to answer the whole question...for the first one I would love more flow, but none on the second one.
