i made up a series excel spreadsheets that i track everything i need. i tried all the other programs i could find but nothing beats customizing for the parameters that you need and not having a bunch of extra "junk" you don't need.

I know at work they have these little data dump collectors. They connect to a RS232 port on the probe controller. They will collect a set number of data points over a week for example...you take it and dump it on excel spreadsheet. I don't think they are that expensive...small as a USB stick

Default Marine Fish & Mini-Reef Interactive Support Program

http://www.micromarinesoftware.com/html/product.html

29.95 plus 5.95 US for shipping - this is a Windows based program available on CD-ROM

One could check to see what actual users are saying about the program _ i'm very tempted to try the product.

If anyone is using this software please let us know your thoughts and experiences, thanks.

Hello,

Thanks guys. I guess I have some sort of an idea of where to start, .... when I do start doing it. Currently I'm working on another database project and that pretty much is consuming all my weekend time. When that's done, I'll try to come up with something.

I have been thinking about whether to use a web based or Windows based system. I'm most likely ditching the web based method ... for now as that requires me to use Windows ASP.NET but we're running on Linux.

Titus
