The RK2 does logging as do many others (see comparison chart here) but most either can't or be to costly to measure what a lot of us want to record.

Titus, again if creating logging software, ability to interface with some of the popular controllers?

I just log it all in excel on my mac...and then ocassionally I review it.

Excel and I aren't very good friends, so the graph thing doesn't work well when I ask it to make me pretty lines on a time graph...

I thought this was a great idea from chin_lee but nothing came of it.

Maybe some software magic might come in handy.

I much prefer web based logging - multi platform, accessible from mostly anywhere if you want - easy to plug into most databases that are available with the right connector and a bit of code. I once saw a plugin for a web board that allowed their members to log their parameters. This was a while back.

I believe we discussed a logging results in another thread Titus. I would have to search to find it. There were several suggestions there. I currently use an aquarium log on another board, {when I actually get around to updating it}, , but would be nice here instead.

Found some,

i made up a series excel spreadsheets that i track everything i need. i tried all the other programs i could find but nothing beats customizing for the parameters that you need and not having a bunch of extra "junk" you don't need.

I know at work they have these little data dump collectors. They connect to a RS232 port on the probe controller. They will collect a set number of data points over a week for example...you take it and dump it on excel spreadsheet. I don't think they are that expensive...small as a USB stick
