they are colonies that survived my tank crash, and they were doing great. I had the one colony for 3 years and the other for one year.

Had the same thing happen to me just recently. Almost all my really nice colonies were slowly disappearing and looked as though they well melting at times. One night/morning I found the trouble....a box snail (sundial), then another, and another........found six of them over a few days.

And now I cant sleep at 4 AM. I wake up to look for evil snails. Haven't found any in about 4 weeks but I haven't sleep through the night since the first one. Kind of like having a kid......

Did you throw them away by any chance? They are wonderful at getting rid of those pesky common brown button polyps. I had 2 years ago that i tried to nurture but unfortunately they died and now my brown protopalythoas are thriving again

How bout I save any more I find for you? I was moving and taking down tanks and was afraid I would lose track of them.
