![]() Hi to all,
i have a question, complete different topic: Did anyone think about using a ProfiLux to control a pool? We can control and measure pH/Temp./..., the control of pumps (filter & current) is possible. I tried this the last days on my own (small) pool. The pH is measured, pump is switched, even the controlled use of a solar panel with magnet valves is possible (heating of the pool water). What is your opinion? I am looking forward to your feedback. |

![]() It is hard to answer this without knowing what you have purchased and what the spec is. My knowledge of the dimming side of profiLux is still growing but the following is correct.
The dimming modules LF-ABOX and LBF-AP act as an interface between the light unit dimmable ballasts and the profilux, not only that using the LF-ABOX as the interface this acts as a complete shut off to the lights when the 1-10V line drops to a certain level. So my answer would be without seeing any specs is that no you will need one of these interfaces. for the sake of a few $$$ i would seriously concider getting the correct spec ballasts from GHL and the interface, I think it will save you more in the long run. GHL do manufacture high end T5 light bars that already dimmable also, you will have to talk to proline for prices though. Hope I have got your question correct? if you can supply a bit more info i can help further Regards Michael Last edited by monitors-direct; 04-30-2007 at 08:39 PM. |

![]() Hello Matthias,
I was wondering if there was any chance that within the Profilux software, that we could actually have a "notes" field under the "socket outlet functions". It would be very nice to be able to label within the software what "socket 5, 10, etc" are. Also - is there any ability to see current status of the plug(on or off)? Like an overview page of which are active at any given time. A list similar to the "socket outlet functions" but in the second column, include "on or off". If this actually exists, I apologize - I just set this up last night and I am going through the software and I am not seeing it. Would it at all be possible to provide the API to pull the "measured data" out of the controller? It shouldn't be too hard to use something like perl to probe the controller for that data and to have it keep appending to a file, therefore it would be easier to keep "high" resolution data. Not to mention it would be nice to not have to "save" the data manually - very easy to autogenerate graphs and such ;-) Eric Last edited by zapco98; 05-16-2007 at 03:07 PM. |
