I don't have a reef tank yet. Will I need RO system no matter what? Where I live (N. Delta) the TDS meter reads ~10 ppm.

Been awhile since I measured the tap so won't try to remember but I'm amazed with those single digit readings. It's almost as low I get with a ro/di unit.

Mine is about 1800ppm from my well. Needless to say I buy all my water from a local water store that I know well and trust their testing and system.

Hey Russell you made it on!

I think the last time I checked it was 135 in Walnut Grove. We can't even wash our vehicles at home- too many water spots. 5 km down the road in Port Kells the water is way better. Walnut Grove water is from the Coquitlam water shed, and Port Kells water is from the Capilano. I'm suprised to see others in the Coquitlam water shed have a much lower TDS. We must be at the end of the line!
