![]() I used it to reseal my 135G freshwater tank 6 months ago and it works great !!! The silicone is still flexible and the fish are doing fine, so I don't think it contain fungiside?? if it does its not enough to kill my neon tetra.
I bought them in Canadian home depot. |

![]() I have used the GE II as well with no problems... just give it at least 24 hours to cure and the fill and flush your tank a few times.

![]() Great thread. I've bought aquarium silicone myself from oa or other lfs in the past but have found them to be hard to work with. It would be nice to be able to buy a good size tube and use it in a silicone gun instead of squeezing a tube.

![]() There are two types of GE Silicone II one with an anti mold and mildew and one with out, actually I guess there is four types because you can get it both in clear and white... maybe even black but I haven't seen it so it doesn't count for me.

![]() Any silicone that is 100% silicone rubber ie; GE silicone 1 is safe for aquariums. The reason the people at Ge stated that it is not designed for building aquariums is likely because they don't want the liability of anyone flooding thier house. I'm not an expert, but I just did a pile of reaserch as I didn't want to pay $6 for a small tube at the LFS.
