Default too much flow?

im setting up a 70gal cube (30 x 30 x 18)
will be keeping mostly LPS and softies. and also an LTA or BTA
will one seio 1100 be good enough ? i will have a mag 5 return pump.

let me know what u guys think if the seio and mag good enough.
any suggestions will be appreciated.

It all depends on your aquascaping. Just make sure you don't have any dead spots.

Jason,

You can never have too much flow - the problem that people run into is with velocity not flow. If your flow is too fast and things are getting buffeted around in the tank, an easy fix is to split your return into two pipes. It will cut down how fast the water is coming out of each pipe and will give you better coverage.

I would go with 2 of the 1100 seio's in there.

or a couple maybe 3 tunze nanos, I'm replacing my seios with them, seios well my 1100's stop working every once and a while. the nanos are also cheaper

which nanostreams would you recommend? and how many of them in my tank?

tunze nanostream 6025 or tunze nanostream 6045 ?

I have a 72g standard tank, I find 2 seio 1100's a 620 and the return are still not enough. But I do have the tank packed with a lot of rock. Go big or go home

6055's but the 6045's are nice too i have a couple of them. mostly just to hit my other pumps to create more erradict movement with my flow...they are kind stuck to the bottom angling up towards the seio's

did you put them in the corners like everyone else does though?

Not that I have any seios, but I've read on numerous occasions that they are not anemone safe because of the unprotected intakes.
