Looks awesome, Spence. Love that new hammer. I get the feeling I'm missing out on a wicked Safari shipment! Patience is a virtue!
These exciting products in water movement you speak of.....any idea of "affordability"? What's the cause of the excitement?

Cheers,

Cheers,
well, affordability is questionable. but the cause of the excitement is the Tunze Nano (supposedly a lot cheaper than the turbelle), the new SEIO controller (presumeably cheap),....and i'm killing myself trying to think of the name of this one...goddamn it is frustrating to have this on the tip of my tongue.....anyways, it blows tunze right out of the water. i'll post when it comes to me.

Vortex is what you're probably thinking of.

i saw a video of two of these on a controller. you could almost tip your tank over if you're not careful!

i noticed my new bubble coral was starting to brown, so i added a 28w T5 strip to my existing 130w PC. this gives a much more pleasing colour temp. but i had to reduce the exposure time to improve clarity...reducing brightness. it is definitely time for a new camera.

my aiptasia problem has receeded. i can see less than a dozen heads and i have some juice for them.

my blue sponge grows a lot faster than i expected. when i get more tanks set up for propagation, it is definitely on the list to prop.

hair algae is dying off. it was introduced with new LR, as i expected it. twice a week water changes and a more efficient skimmer has delt with it nicely. some unwanted macro is colonizing the left portion of my tank. it's not unpleasant, but i'll try to further reduce nutrients to kill it off.

eventually, i'll be adding an overflow, 10g sump, and 10g display refugium with seahorses. better, random circulation will be added. a few more ricordea and this system is done.

The colours are just amazing on that picture. Not saying don't get a new camera (far be it for me to get in the way of getting a new toy!!), but really, the colours are just amazing there.
