My Reef Tanks (pic heavy)
This is my 30 gallon sumpless system. I've added a sponge and green bubble coral since this pic, I'll try to update soon. Just got a skimmer upgrade with the help of Johnny Reefer. Thanks man!

Suffering with a bit of hair algae at the moment! This tank has needs a bit more work and time, but will eventually contain about 50 ricordea. I'm also planning to add one or two additional tanks and a larger sump to this system for soft coral propagation. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/gnx/30cube-1.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/gnx/reef147.jpg And my latest addition, a 2L pico! This tank has been a lot of fun and suprisingly easy. Inhabitants include 2 sexy shrimp and a pom-pom crab. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53...xercrab014.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/gnx/pico045.jpg |
Beautiful tanks. I really like your red open brain. It's very bright red.
I'm also getting a few sexy shrimp for my wife's nano tank.:) |
Looks good, Spence.
I'm interested in getting some of those rics you were mentioning, when they're ready. Cheers:smile:, |
Your tanks look great! I love the colors in 30 gallon tank. Can't wait to see your ricordea collection. I'll be right behind Mark for those rics

That first tank is awsome. How long have you had those little red starfish for? Mine always disapear into the rocks or melt in the first day. Last tank the 5g you should buy another pompom crab I heard you can have a slight chance of haveing them produce in captivity. I have about 10 pom pom crabs and they got babbies in them on a weekly basis. I need to move mine into a smaller tank if I want to have chance of haveing the eggs survive.

stinky, i've had the starfish for about 3 weeks now. it's important to acclimate starfish slowly.
here's a pic with the new corals. i also recently added 2 more damsels, for a total of 3. my strawberry dottyback, tomato clown, and original damsel demonstated some of the most aggressive and relentless behavior i've ever seen in my tanks. one damsel looks near death, while the other is now being ignored. i'm a little concerned for my sun coral. i had it placed in the sand, and i didn't realize that some of the polyps were burried. those polyps have died, and i'm really hoping it won't destroy the whole colony! http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/gnx/xenia-1.jpg here's my linkia star chillaxing. :) http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/gnx/xenia001-1.jpg |
love the tank, i really like the softy lps theme, that is what i did also. beeaaauuutiful.
