I recall reading about a few now, two of them were under 50 gal (one was a 20) but I am not sure if it was the same kinda stuff.

I think it was caused by the heat generated by the curing epoxy and the expanding glass that shattered those tanks IIRC. I think the big tank that broke belonged to a guy in Winapeg.

Doug did the same thing with his 170 or 90 gal looked really good too...

I think it depends on the type of epoxy, some have higher rates of shrinkage than others when curing.

30Sq. Feet would be the coverage with a very thin layer(like, less than 1/8th inch).

I used something called Envirotex-Lite from Home-Hardware.

I recall one guy's tank broke because before the epoxy was fully cured(it was hard, but still generating some heat), he poured cold tap-water in for a water test and it cracked.
