Faux sandbed test...
 
Well bought some EZ-Stone expoxy from the HD tonight, it says its foodsafe... and am trying the faux sandbed thing in a glass... i'll post pics later of how it turns out...

paint section...and it came to like 53 bucks after tax, the sample test i did looks pretty good. :) definatly going to do it in my tank, which has gotten delayed and wont be here for about 2 weeks :(

There is also a two part high gloss clear epoxy in the craft section of Rona called Nu-Lustre 55 that works very well. I never did test it in the tank although some users of Reef Central have used it.

ya this stuff is 2 part as well, says it does 30sq feet, but mixing it with sand i can see it doing more then a 90 gal tank..if that

something to try is to put a good coat on and see if it cracks the glass like two part has been knowen to do.

I remember that happening to a guy either on here or reefcentral, I can't remember...it was a big tank too...like 300+ gallons big. and the bottom just shattered. :(

i believe that tank cracked due to, in part, lack of support for the bottom pane and hole placements for the overflow. nobody else ever had it cracked
