Default what are they?

I have noticed lately, throughout my LR, there are little tiny things swimming around. they appear to be tiny little fish about the size of a pencil tip. hard to see without a magnafying glass. they arent like the pods that crawl around on the glass.. these do swim about.... any idea what they are? or where they mighta come from?

I would guess mysid shrimp. When I first saw them in my fuge they looked to me like tiny fish. Until you take a closer look. They are great to have in your tank as well.

I would agree with Ryan.On this one.Sounds like Mysid shrimp. They are safe for the tank.I have lots of them as I am sure all reefers do.When I first found mine I thought they were fry.So I sat there for hours trying to catch them.....silly me.

Live mysis or mysid shrimp probably came in your live rock or live sand or even as hitchhikers on some coral or macroalgae. Enjoy them. They charge an arm & a leg for them if you buy a starter culture in a LFS.
