what are they?
 

I have noticed lately, throughout my LR, there are little tiny things swimming around. they appear to be tiny little fish about the size of a pencil tip. hard to see without a magnafying glass. they arent like the pods that crawl around on the glass.. these do swim about.... any idea what they are? or where they mighta come from?

I would guess mysid shrimp. When I first saw them in my fuge they looked to me like tiny fish. Until you take a closer look. They are great to have in your tank as well. :cool:

I would agree with Ryan.On this one.Sounds like Mysid shrimp.They are safe for the tank.I have lots of them as I am sure all reefers do.When I first found mine I thought they were fry.So I sat there for hours trying to catch them.....silly me.

where would they come from? :eek:

Live mysis or mysid shrimp probably came in your live rock or live sand or even as hitchhikers on some coral or macroalgae. Enjoy them. They charge an arm & a leg for them if you buy a starter culture in a LFS.
